So my single resolution for this year is to be better at keeping in touch with people and more communicative in general. I've decided that a way to tune up my communicative abilities is to make an effort to write here and in my blog more often. Which will hopefully lead to my writing more frequent e-mails and letters to my friends, and eventually even to communicating by means of the telephone. Hopefully.

I'm counting down the days till payday. I don't know why, because it's not like the Christmas season left me particularly broke or I have special plans for my salary or anything. I guess I just need something to look forward to, and I've chosen payday to be it. I guess I could look forward to my birthday instead, but since my last two birthdays have been altogether disappointing, for reasons I am not going to dwell on because I'll get bitter if I do, I've decided not to even think about get excited and anticipatory about my birthday this year, because then I'll be less disappointed when everybody in my family forgets that it's my special day. And then they try to somehow blame me for the fact that they forgot! But I'm not going to dwell on it. No.

It's going home time soon, so I'm going to start packing up.
